Smith Fixture began in the 1950s and was originally owned by Mr. Herbert Smith. At the time, Mr. Smith focused on manufacturing fixtures, tables, and cabinetry for Memphis area restaurants and retail stores. However, this changed when William C McCreery and his wife Dorothy McCreery fulfilled their dream of owning their own business and purchased Smith Fixture in 1970.
Over time, the business evolved into a full restaurant supply company, and we have been family owned and operated ever since. William and Dorothy’s sons, Bill McCreery and Chuck McCreery, joined the business in 1975 and worked side by side with their parents for over thirty years.
Now the company has transitioned to the third generation with Clare McCreery Bentley, Adam Carlson, and Stuart Carlson, grandchildren of William and Dorothy.
We are members of the Memphis Restaurant Association and received “Distinguished Associate Member of the Year” in 2006 for outstanding service and dedication in the food service industry.
